I am intersted in attending medical school and am trying to find a school that best suits me. I am taking the mcat in april and I have a GPA of 3.09. I just graduated from undergrad in may. any assistance that you can give me like where to apply or what mcat score i need to get would be helpful. thank you in advance. I want to be a surgeon.

You can also post this on the "Ask Admissions Consultants" thread.

Your GPA is a little low and you will need a pretty good MCAT score as well as strong references, a solid application, and good personal experiences to be competitive. You should aim to get at least a 30 on the MCAT in my opinion. You should apply to lots of schools, and depending on your MCAT performance you should include plenty of schools that are not in the top 50 of the US News and World Report Med School rankings.
