I have some questions about going to dental school. I am 3rd yr now. My major is chemistry, but I am thinking to change to Anthropology. I heard even if you have non-science major, you still have good chance to get into dental school. I transferred to UCLA from college and have done most pre-requisites at college except Physics. I am taking physics at university right now. 1. My first question is ¡¦ If I take one extra science class, will I have good chance to get into dental school? I am worried that my major is non-science and didn¡¯t take many extra science classes. 2. Depends on schools, some schools require some extra classes such as biochemistry and psychology..Can I apply before taking these kinds of pre-requisite classes and take them after or during apply? If I did not take pre-requisites before apply, will I have less chance to get into school? 3. I have minor, is it okay to complete all classes after apply to dental school? I mean, will it helpful to get into dental school if I take minor classes after applying?
The reason I apply to school in hurry because I am an international student and I can¡¯t stay after graduate university. I need to keep continue study. I can¡¯t have gap between undergraduate and graduate schools. This is why I am trying to apply this fall.
