Hi tbabygirl48 and welcome to AdmissionsBoards!
I'd encourage you to start with some good prep materials such as what you can find on Amazon.com.
Best of luck! |

I am suporting you in doing this, I just teling you to PSATs showed me that the SAT is hard test. I got a 1540, but that was pure luck and I read every book in the list of help books, that explains alot but it didn't help me, all I'm saying is join Kaplan and it will guide in to scoring high.

| thanks for the advice but kaplan is too expensive, we can afford it and all but its just a waste of money i think. i got the official SAT study guide from college board, and i am asking my parents for the online course for SAT from college board its $70 or something like that for 4 months. Is that worth it tho? |

im also 12. is anyone doing the duke tip program? cuz im actually taking the SAT tommorow. and i would recommend studying ur math REALLY well. vocab is hard to build in a few months and reading is also a long term thing. but math is something ur probably good at and can learn overnight.

I support your decision in starting to study for the SAT this early and trust me, getting a 1220 on it is not going to be difficult. I got a 1580 and my math scores were TERRIBLE. My advice is to pick which you are better at - math or English and try to build up those skills as best as you possibly can because I guarentee it will be easier to raise those scores than to try and desperately raise the scores of the subject you're not so good at. Good luck! |
