I can't be the only one anxious about the MCAT.

Here's a thread where we can each offer one tip to deal with the stress we must all be sharing.

Here's mine:

Get plenty of sleep Friday and don't try to cram at the last minute. If you've been studying diligently, the last-minute cramming will only make you more stressed.

Nearly 80 views and only 1 response? Some serious apathy people. It was worth an effort though. I wish everyone the best and thank to kjwright for his contribution.

Sorry I didn't see this post in time for the April MCAT, but maybe it'll be useful also for those taking the August MCAT. I got 5 hours of sleep and only had 4 oz. of orange juice before taking the MCAT. Not that I'd recommend that necessarily - but you might end up being really nervous the night before or have noisy people in your dorm or apartment building and not be able to get to sleep. Or maybe you don't have time for breakfast. Whatever your "thing" is to do before the MCAT, don't stress about it. Ultimately it comes down to what you've learned in the past 19, 20, 21, 22, etc. years and your ability to read those questions and give them your full attention. Don't worry about the "pregame," especially if things go wrong. When it comes time for the test give the test and the test alone your attention. When the day comes you will be taking it for 6-8 hours and you will get a section that will scare the heck out of you (just hope it scared everyone else that had that version too ) and 6-8 hours later you will be done unless you choose to retake it in the future.

That's ok kjwright, your suggestion is a good one no matter what. I just wanted people to remember that you can't go into the test already making excuses - you have to simply let all of it go and take the test. Trust me, I would have preferred more time in the morning for breakfast and a full 8 hours of sleep!

Don't go in with excuses is good advice for any test.
