The University of Texas at Dallas School of Management has just released its own annual ranking of the top 100 business schools -- and no, UTD itself is not high on the list. In fact, only one Texas b-school -- UT Austin's McCombs School of Business -- made the top ten.
The UTD rankings, which have been conducted since 1999, size up business schools from a scholar's point of view. They rank schools by research productivity, a measure arrived at by tracking the number of articles published by faculty members in peer-reviewed journals over a five-year period.
This year's top ten ranked schools are:
Wharton Harvard NYU - Stern Columbia MIT - Sloan Chicago GSB UT Austin - McCombs UCLA - Anderson Northwestern - Kellogg U. of Michigan - Ross
UTD's School of Management found itself at position 33.
The complete report and list of schools is available at UTD's website, http://citm.utdallas.edu/utdrankings/.

Dear Sirs,
I would be grateful if you could advise me on the following b-school rankings. Which MBA program do you consider as more promising for a finance profession, Hoftstra's(NY) or Suffolk's (Boston)?
Thank you for your attention, Steve |

Hofstra definitely because its so close to Wall Street and has big alumni community there as well.
Also Hofstra has the biggest academic trading room in the world..

They attend trading contests around the world, and anyone who does well there can count on great placements on Wall street.
