Dear Justin,
I am assuming from your academic credentials that you have achieved MVG's in most of your courses. I am also assuming that you are pursuing the most rigorous academic curriculum available to you.
If these assumptions are correct, my impression is that you should be academically competitive for admission to some excellent US universities given you maintain this high academic performance.
In addition to the SAT, I recommend that you start preparing to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language. Most if not all, US and Canadian universities require international applicants to submit TOEFL scores. Many international students tend to perform better on the TOEFL than they do on the verbal section of the SAT. Often, universities will be more forgiving of students' SAT verbal scores if their TOEFL scores are very strong. In addition to the SAT and TOEFL, it will be important for you to be aware of whether or not the universities you are interested in have any SAT II requirements.
Admission to US universities is as much about your academic performance as it is about the person you are outside of the classroom. University admissions committees are interested in learning what type of potential contributions you will be able to make to the university community overall, rather than just within an academic realm. Therefore, essays and extracurricular activities play an integral role in the application and admissions process.
Please contact AdmissionsConsultants if you would like one of our consultants to assist you with your applications to universities in the United States.
Take Care, Sara Hernández
