I have a few questions that I hope you can answer for me. I am 33 years old and always wanted to go to law school. I do not have an undergrduate degree but do have 36 credits. I also am a 2 time conviceted felon. I came from a depressed area and sold drugs as a teenager. I was convicted over 10 years ago for a deliver charge and conspiracy charge. I never went to jail I received probation and i committed another felony 7 years ago for having a counterfiet $20 bill in my possession. I plead out to a low charge so I wouldnt go to jail scared with my priors I wasnt willing to take any chances and do time even though it wasnt mine. I wanted to give a little backround on myself first so you would better understand my position. I have taken a practice LSAT and scored 175. I studied on my own for a few months and I know I am ready to take the test. i am enrolled at Depaul University in an undergrad program now. (Political Science) My first question is: 1. Will it be dificult for me to get into a good law school based on my past indescretions although I have had nothing on my record for over 7 years? 2. Are there any accredited law schools that have a easy acceptance program for a minority students. 3. Do you think an online or overseas law school would be my bet? I will pursue any avenues that are available to me. I have a need and desire to accomplish this. I am presently employed in an executive position and have very influential letters of reccomendations. I was givin a chance in my current company and have achieved success. I have obtained my Six Sigma Black Belt Certification and Project Management Certification. Maybe to much information but I am sure you get the just of my questions and concerns. I would appreciate an answer. Regards |
